Hi, everyone.

I am sorry to announce that I have been informed today that NECA has no further plans to support the Tournament Program for the Nightmare Before Christmas TCG, nor does it plan to print future expansions. The reason for this is financial: the game is making money but not enough for NECA to continue to support these programs.

Although Quixotic is no longer being hired to run the website, I have received permission to continue to do so (for free). I am very proud of the community of players that has developed here, and I will continue to answer questions, help players with decklists, and generally chat with everyone here on the Haunted Forums on a regular basis.

I do have a limited supply of extra promo cards. As a way of thanking players for their support of the game over the past 12 months, I am going to freely distribute these to our regular Haunted Forum posters who want them. I will mail a full set of promo cards to every regular Forum poster who sends me a self-addressed, stamped envelope at the following address:

Please include a brief note that tells me what your online name is here on the Haunted Forums. Also, if you need an extra copy or two of any of the promo cards for inclusion in a deck, I will include them if I have enough copies.

Also, I will draw from this supply of promo cards for players who send me info about future tournaments, at least through the end of this year. If you schedule a tournament at your local store, please send me an email at aparks@quixoticgames.com and I'll send some promo cards to the store for prize support. However, because the tournament program is no longer being officially supported by NECA, I will be removing the related pages from the website.

This turn of events is disappointing news for all of us here at Quixotic, and I am sure it is disappointing for all of you as well. I am thankful that we were given the opportunity to work on this fine game, and to serve such excellent players. I know there are enough cards in the game to support new and innovative decks for a long time, so I hope you will continue to be a part of the community here and post your new deck ideas. The Quixotic team will continue to support this game and its players in any way we can throughout the days ahead.

Wow! This is seriously disappointing!

My whole family LOVES playing this game. My wife and two sons (7 and 9 yrs old) get a great deal of enjoyment out of creating new decks! It has actually also INCREASED their love of the movie, something I didn't think was possible.

It must also be pretty disappointing for you Andrew. Thanks for taking the time to still keep the forum/website going.

From my vantage point, the card game never seemed like it received the promotion or distribution it needed to become VERY successful. I know that my dealer had trouble locating the game from his distributer. Also, the game never showed up at the local Hot Topic - which of course could have been their choice - but it seems like a natural spot for sales.

that really sucks, i really liked playing this game.it was really hard for me to get the cards no one close carried them.i found on eplace and bought all they had lol.i am very happy thet you are staying on for the website and i hope all goes well.i hope one day i can fing the christmas town expansion. thank you
